Victoria Theatre Association features performances for both
the young and the young at heart. See spectacular performances at

The
Dayton Playhouse season has historically consisted of plays,
musicals and FutureFest, an international playwriting contest in
which six unproduced plays are performed in one weekend and judged
by some of the top professionals in the entertainment industry.
The Dayton Playhouse is home to Youtheatre for young performers,

Dayton Opera Association has held the greatest number of
subscriptions of any opera company in Ohio. The opera company's

Contemporary Dance Company has received national recognition

Dayton Ballet, America's second-oldest ballet company, was
founded in 1937 by Josephine and Hermene Schwarz as an ensemble

The
Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1933 and is
the oldest and largest performing arts group in the Miami Valley.
The orchestra offers visitors an exciting and wide-ranging repertoire
with a variety of series from classical to casual classics and coffee

Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center located at
Second and Main Streets in downtown Dayton is poised to become a
landmark facility for Dayton's arts and cultural life. It is comprised
of two distinct structures - a performing arts center and an office/condominium
tower. The performing arts center serves as the focal point of the
facility, and includes the 2300 seat Mead Theatre, 150 seat Mathile
Black Box Theatre and a 120 seat restaurant. Dayton Philharmonic
Orchestra and Dayton Opera will call the Schuster Center home, and
the Dayton Ballet and the Victoria Theatre Association will present
select performances there as well.

Fraze
Pavilion, a 4,300-seat outdoor amphitheater in Kettering's
Lincoln Park Civic Commons, is the site of more than 50 concerts
by top-name entertainers and festivals May-September. The pavilion's
schedule includes an annual Bavarian festival and a Cajun/Zydeco

Memorial
Hall was constructed in 1910 as a memorial to Montgomery County's
Civil War veterans. Today this spectacular building is the site
of fabulous performances by the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, pop
and symphony concerts and elaborate dance and opera productions.
Visitors will be awed by the hall's three beautiful panels of Tiffany
stained glass windows that adorn the ceiling. 125 E. First St.,

Dayton Cultural Center is home to the city's division of Cultural
Affairs' many programs and services. It houses Reflections Gallery,
filled annually with national traveling exhibits, and the Dayton

Riverbend Art Center offers a gallery for students, teachers

Rutledge Gallery features about fifteen different artists,
mostly local, but from as far away as Israel. A tour of the gallery's
mixed media is a feast for the eyes. The media varies from pen and
ink, silk screens, and jewelry to photography, oil painting and

through Friday 11am-6pm and by appointment. The gallery also plans
to be open before and after many of downtown's performing arts events.

permanent collection, world class special exhibitions, interesting

States Air Force Museum
Ohio's premier free attraction for groups and visitors of all ages.
This oldest and largest military aviation museum features over 300
aircraft and missiles and thousands of aviation artifacts. Museum

National Aviation Hall of Fame is attached to the United
States Air Force Museum. The Hall features interactive exhibits
emphasizing scientific and historical contributions to air and space

The
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park was established
to commemorate the lives and legacy of three exceptional Daytonians:
Wilbur Wright, Orville Wright and Paul Laurence Dunbar. The park
consists of four units: The Wright Cycle Company building; Paul
Laurence Dunbar State Memorial; The John W. Berry, Sr. Wright Brothers
Aviation Center at Carillon Historical Park; and Huffman Prairie

Carillon
Historical Park is a unique historical museum complex of
23 buildings, situated on a beautifully landscaped 65-acre site
just south of downtown Dayton. Historic buildings, structures and
artifacts tell the Miami Valley's invention, settlement, transportation
and industrial stories. You won't want to miss the new exhibits
in the John W. Berry, Sr. Wright Brother's Aviation Center which
houses the 1905 Wright Flyer III, the world's first practical airplane,
a national historic landmark and a site of Dayton Aviation Heritage

|
The
Miamisburg Mound is the best known, but least understood,
prehistoric Indian remnant in Ohio. It measures 65 feet in height
and 877 feet in circumference and is the largest conical earthwork
of its kind on Ohio. Archeologists believe the mound is the work
of the Adena Indians, who arrived about 1000 B.C. and were the first
Indians in the region to domesticate plant foods such as sunflowers

SunWatch
Indian Village/Archaeological Park, a National Historic
Landmark and Dayton's "oldest neighborhood," represents
the remains of a Fort Ancient Indian settlement of AD 1200 on the
bank of the Great Miami River. A modern Museum building with film
and displays describing the site, as well as five reconstructed
village structures, stockdale, heirloom garden and native prairie
have been developed for visitation and research purposes within

Five
Rivers MetroParks manages and operates 24 outstanding public
facilities. Founded in 1963 to serve the Greater Dayton area, MetroParks
offers 11,600 acres for year-round recreation, education and conservation.
